On December 29, 2013, the Old Bridge Volunteer Emergency Medical Services was called out along with Old Bridge Police, Old Bridge First Aid & Rescue Squad, Morganville First Aid Squad, Robert Wood Johnson MICU, South Old Bridge Fire Department, and Morganville Fire Department to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Route 9 south by Spring Valley Road. The horrific scene was complicated by multiple vehicles that were not involved in the accident, multiple extrications and multiple victims. All responding departments did a good job in caring for the victims and transporting them to the appropriate hospital(s). See the link below for an article about the accident on NJ.com.

On December 22, 2013, the Old Bridge Volunteer Emergency Medical Services was priviledged to be asked to escort the Old Bridge Knights Pop Warner Cheerleaders on a victory lap around parts of Sayrewood South, Southwood and South Old Bridge. Along with units from South Old Bridge Fire Department, Madison Park FIre Department, Old Bridge First Aid & Rescue Squad, Laurence Harbor First Aid Squad, Madison Park First Aid Squad and the Old Bridge Police Department auxiliary, we made our way around town to cheers of the residents. The girls took home the National Championship in the Junior Midgets Division. Way to go girls!!!
